Plays by market
SEO Agency
E-commerce brand ranks in top 6–15 for high intent keywords.
Signal: BRAND RANKS TOP 6-15
Trigger: An e-commerce website ranks between positions 6–15 for high-intent keywords and hasn’t moved in 90 days.
What it means: They are actively losing traffic, clients and money to competitors ranking just 1–2 positions above them. Their pain is real.
The move: Name the competitor sitting in the top 5 and roughly estimate what that spot is worth compared to theirs.
Brand pays for clicks on keywords it doesn’t rank for.
Signal: PAID DEPENDENCY
Trigger: A brand runs Google Ads on high-intent keywords and ranks outside the top 15 organically on those same terms.
What it means: They have a proven budget they could spend more wisely using SEO services.
The move: Show them the gap. They’re paying for clicks on terms where a top-5 organic spot is within reach and usually a better ROI.
Company is absent from AI answers while competitors get named.
Signal: INVISIBLE IN AI ANSWERS
Trigger: High buying-intent prompts run across multiple LLMs return the same competitors, never them.
What it means: They are invisible in the AI-search era and will hit a wall as AI answers keep expanding.
The move: Send them the prompt and the link to the answer. Name the competitors that came back. Don’t pitch GEO or anything complicated: just the pain they will inevitably face.
Web Design Agency
Company runs paid ads into an unmodified DIY template.
Signal: PAYING FOR CLICKS THEY LOSE
Trigger: A company running ads for 60+ days on Google or Meta with a website built on Squarespace, Wix, or any other low-quality template tool.
What it means: They have a budget for acquisition and would benefit hugely from a higher-quality website that converts better.
The move: Lead with the ads, not the site. Tell them you noticed they’re investing in paid traffic, and that a stronger site would convert more of it. Frame it as getting more out of a budget they already spend.
Local business with 100+ five-star reviews and no real website.
Signal: PROVEN DEMAND, NO STOREFRONT
Trigger: A Google Business Profile above 100 reviews and 4.5 stars, with the website field empty, broken, or pointing to a Facebook page.
What it means: Strangers have already validated the business a hundred times over. The trust is built but it points nowhere.
The move: Tell them the profile wins the first visit and nothing after it. A hundred happy customers and no way to reach a single one again. Sell the second visit, not the site.
Hospitality company taking reservations only through third-party platform or by phone/email.
Signal: COMMISSION ON EVERY BOOKING
Trigger: No booking link anywhere on their own domain, the site links out to a third-party platform, or the only conversion path is a phone number or email, usually the founder’s.
What it means: They do the work of attracting the visitor, then hand them to an intermediary that takes 15 to 20% of the reservation, or handle everything manually.
The move: Estimate their annual commission from their listing’s review volume and average rate, or the time they lose handling everything by hand, and lead with that number.
Frequently asked questions
Who is it for?
Founders and lean teams of B2B service businesses who are great at delivery, are the growth bottleneck, and don't want to burn their time on useless sales meetings.
How is this different from an agency that already burned us?
Signal-based targeting instead of blasting a list, humans on every reply instead of booking bots, and infrastructure you own instead of rent.
Isn't outbound dead? My inbox is full of AI spam.
Not really, the bar just got way higher now. But that's exactly why low-volume, signal-matched, human-handled outbound works: it's the opposite of the spam everybody’s tired of getting.
Do you replace our tools or our team?
Neither. We audit what you already have and expand around it, so you get a stack you keep.
Do buying signals exist for my industry?
Yes. However all signals are not created equal. Some display an urgent pain ready to get solved, and some are just platonic information. We’ll tell you what we can build for your niche specifically on the call beforehand.
How fast can we get first meetings?
From experience, pipeline typically starts filling between day 21 and 30 after launch.
