The play in three steps
A like or a comment from someone at a target account on a competitor's LinkedIn post, in the last 7 days.
The subject is live for them this week, and they are looking at one option. Yours is not on the list yet, and the person is already named.
Name the post and the topic, never the competitor's product. Bring your angle on that exact topic, then the closed question. Seven days, then it is gone.
Who it targets
- Ideal customer
- Target accounts in your size range whose people engage with the two or three competitors you lose deals to.
- Decision maker
- The person who reacted, when their title fits. When it does not, the head of their function, with the colleague's reaction as the opener.
- Where the signal is read
- Your competitors' LinkedIn posts, likes and comments pulled every morning, matched against your target list.
- Window
- 7 days. A reaction is attention, and attention on a competitor's post moves on within the week.
First email
{firstName}, saw your comment under {competitorName}'s post on {postTopic} this week.
So the subject is on the table at {companyName} rn, and you are looking at one way of doing it.
If I could show you how [your angle on that topic] plays out at a company like {companyName} (fifteen minutes, or a two-minute video if you would rather not talk), would you be interested in hearing more ?

LinkedIn first, then two emails, inside the week. A human on every reply.
